This is actually an image I posted a while back from my trip to Great Sand Dunes National Park.  I have always been happy with this shot, but recently, I have been trying to push myself and my post-production.

I have to push myself. Otherwise, I get bored and/or dissatisfied with the images I am producing. When that happens, my photographer’s self esteem is sunk. I am driven to constantly be producing and evolving in my work.

Recently, Creative Live had a class on Dramatic Post-Production which I have been paying attention to. It has really focused in on using the curves tool in particular within photoshop. I figured it was time to rework this shot (even given my fear and potential disappointment or trying and failing at making something better)

Anyways, I dare say that this image is stronger and more visually impacting than it’s previous version.

What do YOU think of it?
